Become a Spoke in the app
Your name, a photo of your face, your phone, where Riders come to, the jobs you do and your hours. spoked suggests weekday evenings and weekend afternoons. About five minutes.
The screens are the spoked app with an example Rider. spoked hasn’t opened yet. A request comes in
It says what needs doing, on what bike, and when the Rider needs it. Accept it, or decline with a reason.
Say when you’re free
Your hours are filled in, and you can change anything. The Rider picks a slot inside the times you send.
Confirm, and they come to you
You confirm the time the Rider picked. Only then do they see your address.
What you charge, and what comes off it.
You’re your own bike shop: your price is what the Rider will pay.
- What you earn
- What you charge for the repairs you take, less the fees below. How many repairs come depends on the Riders near you and the hours you set.
- You set the price
- Every job starts at spoked’s guide price. Change any of them, up to 1.5 times the guide. Riders see your price before they ask.
- The commission
- spoked takes a commission on each booking, and you’ll know the rate before you set up your workshop. Once bookings open, it will come out of what the Rider pays you. Nothing to join, and no subscription.
- Stripe’s card fee
- When bookings open, Riders will pay by card in the app and Stripe will process the payment. You’re the seller, so Stripe’s card fee will also come out of your side.
Your workshop, your rules.
The jobs you take
Choose the jobs you do from spoked’s list. Riders can only ask for what you list, and you can decline any request that doesn’t suit you.
The screens are the spoked app with an example Spoke. spoked hasn’t opened yet. Your tools
Tick the kit you’ll have to hand. Riders see the list on your profile, with a line saying spoked doesn’t check it, so keep it true. Every tool is optional.
Your hours
Set the hours you’re usually free. spoked suggests weekday evenings and weekend afternoons to start with, and you can change them any time.
Time off
Turn off Taking work when you’re away. You stop appearing to Riders, and requests still waiting are declined so those Riders can find someone else. Your prices, hours and reviews are kept, and bookings already made still stand.
What you need
The tools for the jobs you list, and somewhere a Rider can bring a bike: a garage, a shed, a front garden or a wide hallway.
